LYT® (Lara’s Yoga Technique) is a sophisticated method of practice that is based on the three principles of Physiology, Kinesiology and Neurology. With a core understanding of movement from a cellular level, while highlighting the mechanics of how movement happens, LYT Yoga® is an intense movement experience that systematically overrides the patterns of compensation and poor habits through an exploration of brain mapping and purposeful movement. Rachel’s specific focus on pelvic health and helping people reconnect with their core, pelvic floor, breath and nervous system, is grounded in science, yet so deeply tied with philosophy, core values and overall health and wellbeing . Yoga Nidra is also very much a part of my teachings and working with the nervous system and neuroplasticity I found Yoga Nidra and The LYT yoga method combined created this unique hybrid for effective transformation. Other insights and teachings I bring to all my offerings are compassionate connections and metaphors through our physical and emotional bodies. I’ve found through my work with clients, that often what shows up in the body as pain or symptoms has a relationship with our experiences in life and what we then believe and perceive to be true. These offerings are a glimpse into this work and will hopefully ignite inner curiosity and the knowledge for people to take action over their personal wellbeing. The 3 hrs are split into 3 sections each a combination of learning, practice and an opportunity to discover. You will have 2 short breaks to grab a cup of tea, a snack or some fresh air. I offer it as a refreshing break from the norm, a chance to learn, grow & welcome new perspectives with a focus on the full spectrum of the core to regenerate energy to feel organised and lit up in every way. LYT Yoga® is a core based method created by physical therapist Lara Heimann, who implemented her own background in neurodevelopmental rehabilitation to rewire the brain and activate more optimal movement patterns. The specific blueprint reestablishes postural imbalances and sets you up to move better for life with the most effective and efficient way to boost your energy with a spirited and challenging workout for all levels. In this class, you will move through a classic LYT Yoga® class which consists of The Reset, sun salutations, sequences 1, 2 & 3 and The Stream.
