Welcome to this workshop where we combine methods of restorative yoga and yogasomatics, hands-on bodywork and acupuncture in exploration of the region of our head, neck and face. Synnøve Sjøtveit and Veronica Bruce combines forces for the second time with a slightly different format, as a follow up from the first workshop in October 2024. This workshop is interested in both the physical domain of the “roof” of our bodies and issues that may stem from or arise to the head and neck, explored from both yogic and TCM perspectives. It is our aim to leave you with more lightness and ease, less tightness or pain, and a sensation of coming down through the head into the body. As a duo Sjøtveit and Bruce are commonly interested in what stillness and restorative practices relearn us about our habitual patterns, our embodied judgement and fears, and to give way for a wider listening, receiving and wonder. No prerequisite or experience needed. We are so excited to host this space for you all! 650,- 18.00-20.30 ABOUT US SYNNØVE In Restorative Yoga we move through a set of poses that help our body feel supported to release tension and sink into deep rest. We stay in the poses from 10-20 minutes, supported by bolster, blankets and blocks. Synnøve’s teaching is inspired by her training in Restorative yoga and YogaSomatics, as well as her own experiences of self compassion and presence through these quiet, subtle forms of yoga. VERONICA In Chinese Medicine the ear is considered a microcosmos of the whole body, and is a gentle way of treating and aiding healing processes. Bruce is currently enrolled well into her TCM and acupuncture education, having already incorporated parts of this practice into her teachings within yoga and bodywork. Her personal journey with chronic illness paved a way for her to delve deeper into the teachings and practices that have been profound in her own healing.
