COURSE WITH THE CAKE YOGI

NEW-TO-YOGA COURSE

Are you curious about yoga, but also feel a little scared and/or stressed about how to get started? Then will this 10 weeks course be a nice start for you.

 

This is what I promise you will take away from these 10 weeks with me: 

  • To learn and relax in a small intimate group of max 12 people in the beautiful studio Leela Gamlebyen.

  • You will feel safe and secure in your sun salutation - you will feel good in your body and know how to continue on your own. 

  • You will feel safe and secure in your high lunge, low lunge, warrior 1 and 2 as well as peaceful warrior.

  • (ps if you are thinking; what IS a high lunge, don’t worry, this is still for you, and you will know after 10 weeks.)

  • You will come into alignment with your hips and your shoulders and how the poses can work for YOU, and the body you were born with

  • You will learn how to adjust yourself in hip openings and shoulder opening poses - without hurting yourself or bringing the tension to another place in your body

  • You will figure out what twists are the best for where your body is now - and how you can adjust it in a couple of months

  • You will know what the 8 limbs of yoga are and hopefully feel curious to know more - THIS IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT! 

  • You will deeply relax into rest and digest (and get to know why it is so important) and get to know your breath

  • You will learn some pranayama (breath) techniques to use when you feel restless and/or anxious 

  • You will learn how to be gentle with your body and mind - and that yoga is a journey

  • You will learn simple mindfulness techniques to use in your practice and daily life

  • You will eat 10 different healthy cakes (if you want, no pressure, but I do make healthy sugar & gluten free for sale after class, and you are welcome to buy yourself some if you feel like it)

  • You will laugh at yourself when I ask you to pee like a dog and paw your hands like a cat

 

You will leave this course feeling that you KNOW how to move your body forward on, so that you can use the movement of breath and body to soften and still your mind

COURSE WITH SANGAYOGA

POSTNATAL YOGA / BARSELYOGA CALM + CONNECT

 

A course for the mamas and babies - a gentle practice that is perfect for when the body is still healing and/or the babies still small.

 

With a strong focus on navigating the postpartum journey, reconnecting with your body, and connecting with your little one, these classes are open for mothers and their babies (from 6 weeks and older). We use the tools of yoga to come home in your new mama body, softening the body parts that do all the hard work during the day and night, and finding new ways to rest.

 

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗡

  • Yoga postures and flow to help relax and support the shoulders, neck, chest and back

  • Safe and supportive movement for the pelvic floor and core muscles

  • Creative ways to breathe, rest and meditate in the presence of your baby

  • Practice self-care for your postpartum body and mind, and find a sense of freedom

  • Yoga with your baby through sensory play, song and movement

  • Baby massage techniques.

 

Everything is allowed: coming late, changing diapers, feeding your baby - everything.

The classes are gentle, suited for all mama bodies, and you don’t need previous yoga experience. It’s a great treat for you and it’s a beautiful bonding experience for you and your baby.

POSTNATAL YOGA FLOW / BARSELYOGA FLOW

 

This course is open for you with babies of 4 months and older. It’s created as a follow-up course for postnatal yoga, and is perfect for you once you’re ready to flow a little more. We still focus on regaining pelvic and core strength, on rest and nourishment, but we add a layer of flow.

FERTILITY YOGA

 

Yoga for Fertility is for women on a fertility journey and those of you looking to improve menstrual cycle health through yoga.

 

The course is open for everyone ready to invite a child, including those of you on assisted journeys, such as IVF and IUI.

PRENATAL YOGA / GRAVIDYOGA FLOW

 

Our prenatal yoga classes are all about moving your body in a safe and gentle way, bonding with your baby and finding quiet moments on that exciting road towards giving birth.

 

If you haven’t practiced yoga before, we recommend women to wait with practicing prenatal yoga until they are in their second trimester. You continue as long as you want, even until the day of meeting your baby.

THE MOTHERS FLOW

 

Welcome to a gentle, flowing yoga course for all mothers. After a long day of working, mothering and caring for others, it’s time to reclaim yourself. These weekly 75 minutes are 100% for you. 

 

In this class we connect movement with breath and we honor the female cycle. Also, we listen to overwhelm and tiredness, and leave space for a long relaxation practice at the end of class.

ABOUT CLAUDIA

Claudia is the co-founder of Sanga Yoga, created in Oslo and specialized in yoga for pregnancy, postpartum and parenthood. She’s passionate about holding space for mothers and for women on a fertility journey, she’s obsessed with Yoga Nidra, and her classes are always a beautiful blend of movement and stillness, softening and strengthening.

 

After her first traditional Hatha teacher training, she changed her teaching journey to study and practice the more therapeutic and feminine side of yoga through postnatal yoga, fertility yoga, yin yoga, restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra. She loves combining nerding out on anatomy with the spiritual and mystical. Yoga gives her energy and stillness, and her mat is where she always comes home to herself. Her personal practice follows the moon and her cycles, making every session on her mat different from the previous one. Claudia loves spending time in nature with husband and soon 3-year old son, traveling, spontaneous veggie feasts with friends, and reading, reading, reading.
