GRAVIDYOGA MED SILJE

Dette kurset passer for deg som ønsker å holde kroppen sterk, myk og aktiv gjennom graviditeten. Kurset inneholder en balanse mellom flytsekvenser, pusteøvelser, samt styrkende og avspennende posisjoner. Vi fokuserer også på tilknytning til babyen i magen, forberedelse til fødsel og livet som mamma. Hver uke utforsker vi et nytt tema og beveger oss inn i en myk flyt som kan tilpasses hver enkelt i sin graviditet. Hver klasse avsluttes med en lang og deilig avspenning. 

 

Kurset passer for gravide i andre trimester og frem til termin. Det tilrettelegges for en trygg yogapraksis, og alle de endringene som skjer i kropp og sinn i løpet av graviditeten. Du trenger ikke å ha praktisert yoga tidligere for å delta.

BARSELYOGA MED SILJE

Velkommen til yogakurs for mamma og baby. Hver klasse inneholder en flytsekvens med fokus på å styrke mage, rygg og bekkenbunnen, samt åpne og mykne opp nakke og skuldre. Vi vil også fokusere på pusten, som kan være et nyttig verktøy i barseltiden. Hele klassen er babyvennlig og tilpasset den nye mammakroppen – enten vil baby inkluderes i øvelsene eller ligge ved siden av deg på et teppe. Hver klasse avsluttes med avspenning eller babymassasje. 

 

På barselyoga er alt tillatt – du kan komme for sent, skifte bleie på baby, amme, bysse og komme tilbake til praksisen igjen når du og baby er klare. Barselyoga er en fin måte å komme i gang igjen med trening etter fødsel samtidig som du tilbringer tid med babyen din og møter andre mødre i samme situasjon som deg. Du kan gå på barselyoga fra babyen din er 6 uker gammel frem til den begynner å krabbe. Tidligere erfaring med yoga er ikke nødvendig for å bli med.

ABOUT SILJE

Silje was introduced to yoga in 2014, when she discovered a powerful and vigorous vinyasa yoga practice. Since then she has embraced a softer and more gentle practice, and loves how yoga can be adjusted to the current life situation and to the changes a woman goes through during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. ⁠

She is the mother of two sons, and found yoga as a valuable and helpful tool on her own journey to become a mother. In her classes you are encouraged to listen to your body and to use yoga as a tool on and off the mat.⁠


Silje is also trained as an Ayurvedic postpartum doula through Ayurvedic mamas.

Designed for intermediate practitioners looking to deepen their practice, and/or to prepare each practitioner for a Mysore style self-practice, join Jeff Frieders every Wednesday this winter for 6 weeks, to support your growth in yoga. 

Each 90 minute module will include a lead class in the Ashtanga (Half) Primary series. Pranayama, meditation, hands-on adjustments and breakdowns of the asanas will be included.

ABOUT JEFFREY

Jeff has been teaching for the past 3 years and has been a co-instructor on Yoga Alliance teacher training intensives with Om & Flow Yoga in Palomino, Colombia. He has been a practitioner for 20 years and has a background in dance and rock climbing.

 

You can find Jeff on the schedule at Leela teaching Vinyasa III, and subbing Restorative, Yin and Yoga Nidra. He also teaches Ashtanga with OnYoga and practices Mysore at Leela under his mentor and teacher, Ellen Johanessen.

YOGA FOR MEN

WITH MARIUS ASK

 

This course is specifically tailored for men. Marius shares the ways he himself found his way to yoga and focusing on poses that can be difficult for the male body.

In this course you will learn 

  • sun salutation A

  • sun salutation B 

  • pranayama/breath techniques

  • simple meditation techniques

 

The first 4 weeks you will be working thoroughly through all the poses, with the goal to flow through a whole yoga class in week 5. You will also get a 20 minute yoga flow specifically tailored for what you wish to focus on in your practice going onwards.

ABOUT MARIUS

Marius started practicing yoga with the intention of getting more flexible, and ended up finding a practice that  affected him positively in all aspects of life - both the physical as well as the mental/emotional. He has a background of skating and crossfit, as well as bouldering. 

 

He has been practicing yoga for about 4 years, mainly Ashtanga at Emijoly in Kristiansand. He then took a multi style teacher training in KohPhangan, Thailand. 

 

One of his missions as a teacher is to make yoga more available for men, and the male body, which is often not as flexible as the female body.
